The Council believes that Media and Entertainment sector of Eastern India has lot of untapped potential which it seeks to foster. The Indian Media and Entertainment sector is valued at approximately $ 12 bn in 2015 and expected to double by 2020. Out of the various sub sectors, one of the highest growing sub-sectors would be digital advertising with a CAGR of 30%. Further, India is known to have the second largest TV market in the world.
The Council is formed to raise the issues and challenges of the Media & Entertainment Industry. The Council mainly focuses on the opportunities which help the industry to grow. The Council closely works with Government and public and private stakeholders in different factors of the industry.
The Council organizes different Events, Workshop, Webinars with the expert on the relevant topics.
