About the Council
The Council at MCCI through its various program and initiatives endeavors to transform the primary activities (Animal Husbandry and Fisheries) into the proper business activities and to promote rural enterprises.
MCCI formed the Council to organise a series of Workshops/Seminars/Conferences to get a direct feedback from corporates regarding their initiatives in rural areas and problems and difficulties encountered while carrying out such programmes.
The key objectives of the MCCI Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Rural Development Council are to :
- Discuss the urban and rural marketing scope and potential in the field of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries
- Discuss various strategies, models that have to be developed by the private sector to succeed in rural markets for the products in the fields of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries
- Explore the feasibility/viability of private sector participation in developing rural infrastructure
- Analyze State-wise rural development policies, programmes and dispersal mechanism
