MCCI GST Help Desk

In this ‘One Nation, One Tax, One Market’ Indirect Tax regime of Goods and Services Tax (GST), introduced on 1st July 2017, the taxpayers consisting of industry, business and trade have gone through several burning issues.
The Challenge still persists ..
MCCI believes that if the units are provided with adequate hand holding, their productivity would increase and they would be able to contribute significantly to the industrial development of West Bengal.
With this mission, the Chamber started another novel initiative, MCCI GST Help Desk, which was inaugurated by Mr. Khalid Aizaz Anwar, IAS, Commissioner, State Tax, Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Government of West Bengal on 3 March 2022 at MCCI.
The Help Desk is held in collaboration with the Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Government of West Bengal and CGST & CX, Kolkata Zone, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
The objective of the Help Desk is to provide mentoring & handholding services to our members and MSME units to help industry, MSMEs, business and trade leverage the opportunities and explore solutions to the key issues of :

 

  1. Input Tax Credit
  2. Filing of Returns
  3. Refund
  4. Compliances
  5. Import Credit
  6. Other priority topics

 

At the Help Desk, the Mentors and experts will be available for walk-in consultations for the members and select entrepreneurs and Start Ups. The Help Desk also provides regular information on Government’s policy & e-Filing and other value–added services including Intimation, Rectification, Refund & other queries relating to tax processing, to ease the business process.

 

The areas to be addressed by the Mentor panel, among others, are :
  1. Mentoring and hand holding support
  2. Providing Solutions to Issues
  3. Clarification of Doubts
  4. Single-point information/ consultation system
The Chamber requests all to kindly attend/ depute representative(s) to attend the one–on–one Mentoring session at the Help Desk.
