The MCCI Food Processing Council plays a key role in dealing with policy issues to collaborate with the government and make industry’s voice heard. It has been working very closely with industry members for the growth and business sustainability of the food industry. Presently, MCCI is leading the industry voice in addressing concerns hovering around Healthy Processed Food.
Currently processed food products including the HFSS products are perceived unhealthy at large. MCCI is proactively advocating on this issue with the regulator in consultation with all stakeholders to ensure it gets implemented in accordance with industries expectation and should not go against ‘ease of doing business’.
Apart from policy advocacy role, the Council also organizes its annual flagship conclave, releases knowledge paper; work towards trade facilitation and investment promotion.
