Council on MSMEs

About the Council

The Council takes up and discusses issues of the members belonging to MSME sector, relating to MSME General Issues, GST & Taxation, Finance & loans, Land, Incentives, Compliance, Exports Incentive and Foreign Trade Policy, Industrial Relations and other issues.

The Council works closely with the State and Central Governments and other regulatory authorities to highlight members’ issues requesting for redressal.

The Council organizes on a regular basis, Discussion Meetings, Interactive Sessions, Seminars, Workshops, Webinars on issues relating to MSME sector.The Council discussed the impact of COVID and lockdown thereof on MSMEs to come out with feasible solutions to counter the challenges.

MCCI MSME Help Desk is an initiative of this Council, which is held in association with the Department of MSME & Textiles, Government of West Bengal. The objectives of the Help Desk are to help MSMEs leverage the opportunities and explore solutions to the key issues, in which domain and subject matter experts will be available for mentoring, handholding and consultation for the MSME units. Inaugurated by Shri Rajiva Sinha,IAS, the–then Additional Chief Secretary, Department of MSME & Textiles, Government of West Bengal in April, 2018 at MCCI, the Help Desk has so far hand held and mentored MSME units.
