About the Council
The Indian retail industry has emerged as one of the most dynamic and fast-growing industries in recent time. The Sector accounts for over 10 per cent of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product and around 8 per cent of the employment.
The Council at MCCI has been intensely working on addressing the issues which have been identified as major congestions to the growth of the sector. The Council since its inception has been instrumental in promoting the retail sector.
MCCI organizes MCCI Retail Conclave, a flagship forum that brings the Policymakers and Industry Leaders with an aim to trigger meaningful deliberations on e-retail and brick and mortar retail.
