About the Council

The Logistics, Transport & Shipping Council at MCCI believes that logistics is critical for a robust supply chain that covers shipment, warehousing and delivery of products. Moreover, a reliable logistics service can boost businesses with better market access and lower operational costs. Over the last two years, the frequent lockdown in different regions all over the country has created the severe challenges for the logistic sector. In India, around 95% of India’s trading by volume and 70% by value is done through maritime transport. The Council works with Government and regulators on policies to create more opportunities in maritime good transportation facilities for the businesses in Eastern region.

The Council organises multiple events Seminars on prospects and challenges in the logistics sector.

MCCI Logistics Conclave is an endeavor to bring Policy makers, Industry Leaders, Bureaucrats and Diplomats from India with an aim to trigger meaningful deliberations on Logistics.
