Dear Friends,
As you are kindly aware that MCCI, over the last 124 years, has worked as a bridge between businesses and the policy makers to create a conducive economic environment for the industry to prosper and flourish. MCCI, as one of the leading Chambers of Eastern India, works on the goal to take Indian industry to a higher growth trajectory, so that all the stakeholders in the economy are benefitted.
Betterment of the MSME sector has always been a priority area for the Chamber. MCCI believes that if given sufficient support, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) have the potential to transform economies, encourage creation of new jobs, and foster equitable economic growth. In order to accomplish this vision and assist MSMEs in their endeavors, MCCI has been running the MCCI MSME Help Desk since 2018, at the Chamber and in the districts of West Bengal, in association with the Department of MSME & Textiles, Govt of West Bengal. The Chamber has also been continuously organising MCCI GST Help Desk since 2022 in association with CGST & SGST Commissionerates and MCCI ESIC Help Desk since May 2025 in association with ESI Corporation.
MCCI through its various programs and initiatives, endeavours to enhance activities in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Livestock, that promote rural development. The objective is to discuss strategies & models that have to be developed by the private sector to succeed in rural markets in these areas. The focus is also to take feedback from corporates regarding their initiatives in rural areas and also to address problems & difficulties encountered while carrying out business.
On its mission to reach out to Tier II & Tier III towns in the state, the Chamber has held programmes in different industrial and business hubs of West Bengal including Haldia, Asansol, Durgapur, North Bengal. The Chamber also connected with the business units in the districts of West Bengal to take its mission forward.
